HEALTHY NOUGAT PROTEIN BARS

These healthy nougat protein bars are easy, no-bake and paleo with egg white powder.

Start by blending raw almonds into a flour.

STEP 1

Tip the almonds into a bowl with egg white powder and sea salt. 

STEP 2

Mix the dry ingredients for the protein bars and make a well in the center.

STEP 3

Add coconut oil and boiling water into the well.

STEP 4

Mix until the coconut oil is melted.

STEP 5

Add raw honey, vanilla extract and almond extract.

STEP 6

Mix everything together until the protein bar mixture turns into a dough.

STEP 7

Line a loaf tin with baking paper or cling film.

STEP 8

Press the protein bar mixture into the tin.

STEP 9

Melt some dark chocolate and pour it over the protein bar slab.

STEP 10

Spread the chocolate evenly with the back of a spoon.

STEP 11

Sprinkle crushed almonds over the protein bar slab.

STEP 12

Chill in the refrigerator, then slice into protein bars.

STEP 13

Enjoy the nougat protein bars as a healthy post-workout snack or dessert.
