HEALTHY HOMEMADE HUMMUS

This easy hummus is made without lemon and garlic, and is delicious as a dip or healthy snack.

Start with a drained can of chickpeas.

STEP 1

Add tahini, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.

STEP 2

Add some water, which helps the hummus blend smooth with less oil.

STEP 3

Blend with a hand blender or food processor.

STEP 4

Add extra water if needed to help the hummus blend.

STEP 5

Continue to blend until the hummus is smooth.

STEP 6

To serve, transfer the hummus into a bowl.

STEP 7

Smooth the hummus with the back of a spoon.

STEP 8

Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil if desired.

STEP 9

Enjoy the hummus with fresh vegetables or crackers.
